Mr. Abdoulay Ba
I am from Senegal, West Africa. I got my first bachelor degree in Physics and Chemistry from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar (Senegal) in 1988. I then taught physics and mathematics in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) for a year and in Paris (France) for another year.
I then moved to the United States in 1991 where I taught mathematics at the French American School in Los Angeles. I then got a bachelor degree in business administration (option finance) and went on to get a master in applied mathematics at California State University Los Angeles.
I then joined the Los Angeles Unified School district to teach mathematics at Hollywood performing arts High School for 20 years. I also taught mathematics as an adjunct at Pasadena City College for seven years.
After a brief early retirement in 2017 I came to New York in 2019 and has since been teaching mathematics at Explorations Academy High School and I am happy to be here.
