Living Environment

Welcome to the Living Environment course!  This is a full year (two semesters) course that will prepare you for the New York State Regents Living Environment exam in June.  In this course, you will learn how the environment, wildlife, and people interact with one another.  Some of the topics we will explore in the two semesters are human physiology, ecology, genetics, and the theory of evolution.  There are two mandatory components in this course: lecture and laboratory.  In the lab you will have many hands-on opportunities to practice and experiment with many of the concepts that you learn in lecture.  Participation in the lab is mandatory and all assignments in lab must be successfully completed in order to pass this class and to be eligible to take the Regents exam in June.  We look forward to getting to know and work with you.  We expect you to do well and we expect you to pass the Living Environment Regents.
